Solidarite Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy approximately 20 sets of pagnes.

Solidarite Group's story

Lenge, the borrower, is the president of the business group "Solidarité". She is married and the mother of six young children. Her husband is an experienced mason and a builder. Lenge sells clothing and various other goods. She works as an itinerant seller. She started her own business with a loan received from the microfinance institution Hekima and she has already completed 11 loan cycles. She will use this new loan to buy approximately 20 sets of pagnes (traditional African fabrics) for resale. With her profits, Lenge will be able to pay the rent, her children's school fees etc. In the future, she would like to buy a plot of land. She thanks Hekima for its support and for empowering women involved in small businesses. It should be noted that (in the photo) one of the borrowers is carrying her baby.
