Sandy's story

This is Sandy, 35, a resident of Silang, Cavite, Philippines. He is married to Jane, a housewife, and is a father to his children. He, together with his wife, manages his own business to be able to sustain their everyday expenses. Sandy operates a tailoring business. He mainly offers uniforms and shirts. He also does repairs and alterations. His regular customers are his neighbors and the local community. He earns a minimum of 200 Php (Philippines pesos) in sales every day. To help him continue operations of his business, he is requesting a Php 15,000 loan. He will be utilizing the loan to buy more quantities of raw materials like fabric, thread and newspapers for patterns. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business. Sandy dreams to be able to give his children a good and high quality education through all his hard work on his business. He faithfully meets up with his co-fellowship members to share stories of his work every week. * All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
