Sakibe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to make essential repairs to one of the two rooms of the family house.
Sakibe, age 36, is employed as a cleaner. She comes from a vulnerable ethnic minority community in Kosovo. She is married and has three children between the ages of 11 and 16 years old. One of them is going to school. Sakibe's husband is employed as a driver. Many people from these minority communities in Kosovo, including Sakibe’s family, live in poor conditions. This family lives in an old, small house with only two rooms, one of which is in critical need of repair. The money that Sakibe and her husband generate is not enough to cover all of the family's daily living expenses. Raising children and keeping food on the table is difficult for them. Adding the cost of repairs to a room in the house is nearly impossible. Sakibe recently decided to request this loan in order to fix the room in need of repair. Her goal is to improve her family’s living conditions. She promises to repay the loan on time. Sakibe is very grateful to her Kiva lenders for improving her family’s standard of living and contributing to her children’s overall health.
