A loan helped to purchase a larger grill so that she can meet her customers' orders.
Maria was taught by her mother how to make arepas (a typical Colombian dish made of ground corn dough or cooked flour). For many years this has been the source of income with which she helps her household financially and supports her two children aged 13 and 15. Thanks to her high quality products, she's been able to make good sales. Although the lack of working capital causes her to slow down her sales, she's been gradually growing and overcoming this drawback. Through her daily hard work, she has been able to move her business forward. Now that she has the opportunity to keep on making it grow, she seeks a loan in order to purchase a larger grill so that she can meet her customers' orders. Her dream is to be able to keep her business going and increase her family's earnings. Besides, she dreams of buying a house of her own and providing more stability for her family.
