Wakorintho Group's story
Neema,who is in her late 30s,is married with three children, two of whom are still in school and another is a baby. She has had a fish selling business for twelve years now and she has a plan to start new business of selling charcoal. She is doing well. She works from 5AM to 6PM daily and she is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be her 4th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more fish, repair her work place, and pay household expenses and school fees. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She hopes for a loan to start selling charcoal. Her dream is to one be able to build her own nice house. She will share this loan with her loan group "Wakorintho" which totals 16 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
