A loan helped to increase her stock of clothes to resell.

Jamaica Group's story

Mwajabu, who is in her early 30s, is single with three children (two boys and a girl) who go to school. She has been selling vitenge (women's clothes) for three years now. She works from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and she is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be her sixth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more stock of clothes to resell and pay household expenses and she has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase more stock of clothes to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to open a food business. She will share this loan with her loan group "Jamaica," which totals 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
