Beatrice's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase a chuff cutter.
Beatrice has four children and lives in the Murang'a area of Kenya, which lies in the central Rift Valley. She is a dairy farmer, which she has been doing for 15 years. Her primary income sources are milk, eggs, crops, and personal business. Beatrice is requesting a loan, which she will use to buy a chuff cutter to ease feeding of her dairy animals. Her biggest challenge is using a panga (machete) when cutting the nappier grass. Her highest monthly expense is business related. This loan will reduce her workload, thereby giving Beatrice more time to do other jobs Beatrice chose Juhudi Kilimo for this loan because they support smallholder farmers and come to the farmers in the field. During a microfinance training sessions, she learned that loans must be paid and guaranteed by group members.
