Rosenda's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy 10 sacks of seed potatoes. The remainder will be used to by fertilizers and manure.
Rosenda is 30 years old. Her partner is Julián, with whom she has three children aged 4, 7 and 11. The family lives in their own home in a heavily agricultural area. She has been a farmer since she was a teenager, and she used to support her parents in their work in the fields. Upon forming her own family, she also decided to continue to work in agriculture, since she enjoys caring for her crops. The local soil is excellent for growing distinct varieties of potato. Thus, every season she invests in seed potatoes and fertilizers, and she pays laborers to help work the fields. She knows that she will obtain satisfactory results each year. She sells her crops in the same area, even though she thinks that it is more profitable to sell in the city due to the larger number of buyers there. Her plan is to plant more potatoes this season, since the spring is approaching. This is her 11th loan with MFP. She gives her word that she will be punctual in making her monthly repayments. Her communal bank is called “Trabajemos Unidos” ("United We Work"), and it is one of the oldest and most solid groups in the area. She will use the loan proceeds to buy 10 sacks of seed potatoes. The remainder will be used to by fertilizers and manure.
