Channy's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy fertilizer, seed, and to pay the plowing fee for her rice field.
Channy's Group's story
Channy is a 35-year-old married mother of one daughter and one son and lives in the village located in the Sangke District of Battambang Province, Cambodia. She has been in rice farming and cassava planting for several years to meet the daily basic needs of her family while her husband works as a paid worker for additional income. From the current business, they can earn about 30,000 KHR per day to meet the family’s needs. Channy has been with VisionFund for three cycles while the other member has been with VisionFund for one cycle. The past loans have helped her relieve her family’s burden and enabled her to buy a motorbike to support her business. Now, she is leading the group of two to request a new loan. As the leader, Channy is going to use her portion to buy fertilizer and seed for her farmland and use a portion of it to pay for labor costs in plowing. She hopes her crop yield will become more profitable so as to increase her income to make a better living.
