Avtandil's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to build a cattle shed.
Avtandil is 45 years old and lives in the Khoni district with his family. He has a wife and 2 children (13 and 16 years old). His children go to the local school. Avtandil and his wife earn their living through an agricultural business. Specifically, they have a large plot of land where maize is grown. Besides this business, Avtandil is successfully involved in an animal husbandry business. He has 4 milking cows, 6 calves and 2 horses. Avtandil’s wife milks the cows every day and produces cheese. The family sells cheese at the local open market. Avtandil and his wife also raise chickens. They sell hens in nearby villages. Year after year they repeat these activities because that's the way they have learned to earn a living. Avtandil requested a loan to build a cattle shed. He plans to expand the dairy farm, but the existing cattle shed doesn’t allow him to implement this plan. After the cattle shed is built he will be able to double production and sales of cheese and the income of the family will significantly increase. All members of the family will be able to improve their living conditions.
