Irma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy additional milk cows.

Irma's story

Irma is 55 years old and married. She lives in a small village in the Gardabani District with her husband, Gocha, and their two sons who are six and 26 years old. The younger son goes to school, while the elder and Gocha earn an income working in construction.

Irma runs a small dairy farm with three milk cows. She milks the cows twice a day and makes cheese. Parts of the milk and cheese are for family members, and the rest is sold on the local open market. The family works hard but still can’t make enough money to put into savings.

Irma is applying for a loan to buy additional milk cows. With them she will get more milk to sell, increase her cheese production and so grow the family’s income. With the increase, she will be able to reinvest in the dairy and make it more profitable.

Irma also will be able to buy more household goods and renovate the house. In this way living conditions of the family will improve.
