Kakindu Women Development Group's story

Florence, a mother of three, is married. She joined the group in 2009 when they started accessing funds from UGAFODE Microfinance. Their major goal is to support each other, to grow in business and to irradicate illiteracy in their community and more so among the group members' families. Florence sells milk and other soft drinks to the local community and by the roadside. She started the business to supplement her husband's meager income when her children started school. She wants the loan to buy more milk and soft drinks for sale. Her major challenges are limited capital and weather changes which cause shortages in milk supply, therefore raising prices. Florence is the lady seated on the extreme right in a blue shirt.
