Jorge's story

Jorge, 22, is a hardworking, enterprising man who very much wants to get ahead. He’s single living in his mother’s house with her, his brother, his brother-in-law and his nephew. His activity is selling fast food like Broaster chicken and fried snacks. He has a cart with a fryer he sets up in front of his house every evening. He started this over two years ago; his mother helps him both to cook and to tend to the public. He likes his business because it allows him to earn income and have an occupation because he hasn’t finished his computer technician courses and is using profits to pay for his schooling. In addition, he’s able to help his parents with household expenses. He’s saving for the future because his goal is to build his own computer repair firm. This is MFP loan #5 and he is grateful for the financial support he’s gotten to reach his goals. Also, he’s comfortable in his communal bank because he knows the members and considers them to be responsible people. He will use the requested 2500 new soles to buy kitchen utensils, tables and chairs as well as ingredients to prepare his dishes like potatoes, chicken and vegetables.
