Grimilda Xiomara's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase new and used clothing.
Grimilda Xiomara's story
Grimilda, a single mother, is a native of the town of Condega in the department of Esteli. She is grateful for her first KIVA loan, which was of great benefit to her since she invested it in the purchase of merchandise, such as clothing, shoes and bags to sell and stock her business. Her customers have been very satisfied with the quality of service she offers and demand for her products has grown a bit. Consequently she sees the need for more investment and is requesting a second loan in order to buy new and used clothing for re-sale in the communities in Estelí where it is difficult to find stores and the people depend on venders, who visit them at their homes, to acquire merchandise for their daily use. Grimilda wants to expand her business and install stalls for used clothing in communities where there is a need for these products. But her principal priority is to obtain the income to pay for her children’s education.
