Asha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more items to sell in her store.
Asha is 41 years old, married and lives with her husband and one child in a rural part of the Msambweni district of Mombasa. She earns a living by running a retail shop, while her husband runs a battery-charging business. The family earns about KES 400 a day, which allows her to feed her family as well as save about KES 200. She is applying for her first loan from Kiva’s partner, Yehu Microfinance, for KES 25,000 to buy more items to sell in her store. She hopes this loan will allow her to increase her family’s business and earn enough income to provide her family with a higher standard of living.
