Patrick's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy sacks of maize and beans.
Patrick is single and lives in a rental house alone but says that he supports his parents who are in his rural home. He operates a cereal-selling business, selling at the market in a small store. He has been in this business for the last two years. Patrick narrates that he was previously employed in a shop where he gained experience on how to manage a business and relate to customers, before deciding to open his own business. Thanks to his effort, his business is doing well. However, he faces a major challenge of lack of enough capital to fund his business. This is why he is requesting a loan from Yehu and Kiva. Patrick will use this loan to buy sacks of maize and beans so as to increase his inventory. In the future, he hopes to expand to a bigger store, and later construct a house as he plans to have a wife soon. To do this, he promises to make his payments on time so he can request more loans. His other challenge is the elevated cost of living and access to financing.
