A loan helped To buy building materials for a greenhouse and to insulate her house walls.
Myagmarsuren, 41, lives with her husband and three children in the ger district, an area of the city with no running water, minimal roads and spotty electricity, in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. She leases an apartment with two rooms by the month in the downtown above an internet café. Her husband makes snuff-boxes at home and sells them to customers and souvenir shops. Myagmarsuren’s family owns a small land plot and a house. She and her husband want to plant some vegetables for their private use and to sell to increase the family income. She is planning to build a greenhouse in her backyard in which to plant vegetables. For this she needs building materials, such as iron pipes, cement and other necessary materials. Also she has a plan to repair her house walls to insulate them. Her old house has heat loss through the walls and roof. She is taking a loan to buy the building materials for a greenhouse and to insulate her house walls.
