Solema's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy pea and potato seeds, and bags of fertilizer.
Solema is 44 years old. She has been married for more than 20 years and has six children. She currently lives with five of them. Her house is made out of rustic materials but it is warm. It is located in San Antonio, Tarma. Solema's farm land is her priority as her business is farming. She heads out to her crops to tend to them. She spends most of her time getting the land ready and irrigating it. The rain doesn't always come and so she and her fellow community members share time slots for the water. The main crops she grows are potatoes, peas, broad beans, corn and carrots. She sells these products in the wholesale market in the city. In order to do this she has to travel for one hour. However, all her hard work is rewarded when she makes good sales. Solema is a visionary woman and so every year she continues working hard to improve her yields. This is Solema's ninth loan from MFP. She is responsible in making her repayments and is one of the founding members of the 'Santa Rosa' community bank. Solema will invest the money she has requested in buying bags of pea and potato seeds. She will use the rest to buy bags of fertilizer.
