Buenas Emprendedoras - 26 Group's story
The communal bank “Buenas Emprendedoras” (Good Entrepreneurs) is made up for nine members, 7 of whom are women and 2 men. Emma is the president of the bank. She is 47 years old and married with three children who are already grown and over 25 years old. Emma works making and selling food in her shop in the Tembladerani neighborhood. This will be her first loan cycle. Emma will use the loan to buy ingredients like rice, noodles, and oil in bulk to make her meals and also to offer a variety of dishes to her customers and increase her income. Her reason for getting the loan is to continue improving her business. Emma will use the profits to continue buying utensils and ingredients to make her food. Emma is a very hardworking person who is happy about the opportunity that’s been offered to her and to the other communal bank members since in some cases they are the sole breadwinner in the family.
