Luzmira is part of the communal bank "Luz y Esperanza" in the community of la Florida, located in the city of Santiago. She has worked in the sale of fast food for the past 20 years. She has her business located in her home, and works from Monday through Wednesday and Friday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm. On Saturdays she helps her daughter-in-law with her sales. She buys the merchandise and ingredients that she needs in supermarkets and in the Franklin neighborhood in Santiago, which is known for selling all kinds of merchandise and ingredients at low cost and is therefore economically convenient. With this loan she will by sausages, meats, tomatoes, cheese, ham, avocados and potatoes. One of Luzmira's goals is to grow her business, install a bathroom and wash bin, and generate greater income, thereby generating a better quality of life. Luzmira lives with her husband who works making furniture and their two children, one of whom is working and one who is studying. She dreams to continue with her business and have the possibility to sell other products such as toiletries. Luzmira is very happy and grateful for the loan and services provided by Fondo Esperanza. She also tells us that she is very comfortable with the meetings of her communal bank, as there exists great generosity and unity within the group. With respect to the trainings that she has received at the meetings, she has learned how to administer her business better.
