Quirino's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy plants to replant his crop and pay for labor to clear, prune, and harvest the fields.

Quirino's story

Quirino is forty-four and lives in his own house with his wife and children. Since he was very small he learned all about the care and production of coffee in his father's fields. Eventually his father left him those same fields so he could work them and continue the family coffee production tradition. Now Quirino works alongside his family clearing and pruning the fields so they'll be in good shape for the harvest; he's requesting a loan to hire day-laborers to help speed things up and get the crops fertilized on time. Quirino knows that hiring day-laborers to help get the job done in a timely fashion will increase production. He knows, too, that getting a loan and making good use of it will result in a better crop and higher profits that will help him achieve a better quality of life. Then he'll be able to continue supporting his children so they can get a higher education; educating them is his fondest wish.
