Andres Avelino's story
Sr. Andres is 62 years old, married and has two sons. He is the owner of a furniture store, a carpenter’s shop and a sawmill, which are very well known in the city for quality and good prices.. Andres is a very hardworking person and notes that he started his business more than 10 years ago, first as a carpenter’s workshop and then gradually through sacrifice he was able to open his sawmill, which at that time was the only one in the area. He has come to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva to request a loan to invest in buying lumber, screws and nails so that he will be able to continue having sufficient raw material to make good quality furniture at a good price. Thus he will be able to retain his customer base.
