Charlenia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy cooking utensils and food-making ingredients.
Charlenia, 25, is a hardworking, cheerful, very dynamic woman who very much wants to make progress. Her spouse is José who works in transportation. They have no children and for the moment are living in her in-laws’ house. Her activity is selling fast-food (sausages with chicken, fried chicken and others typical of the region) and soft-drinks. To do so she sets up a table in front of her house where she tends to her customers who for the most part are her neighbors. She starts her work in the afternoon preparing her dishes because she works mornings as a teacher at a local school. She is happy because with this business she’s able to earn income in addition to her monthly teacher’s salary that she can use to cover all her family’s expenses. The problem is that she ends up very tired after all the day’s work but despite this she wants to continue with her business until she can have a locale where she can take care of her customers. This is her first MFP loan. She comments that she’s grateful for the opportunity to have a line of credit to reach her goals. She, therefore, commits to make her installment payments. She will use the requested 1500 new soles to buy utensils (pots, dishes, glasses) for her business as well as ingredients and supplies to make her food.
