A loan helped to build a pig sty.
Rosa Maclovia's story
Rosa is a member of the “Sector 3 María” communal bank. She lives in a community belonging to Turi Parish in Cuenca. This parish is known for the beauty of its church and also because one can view a large part of the city of Cuenca from there. Its people are nice, kind, tenacious and hardworking. They work in commerce, animal husbandry and agriculture. Rosa comments that she is enjoying good health and everyone in her family is too. She raises chickens, guinea pigs and pigs to sell. She’s chosen this activity as a way of life for the last two years because it produces good profits and she can watch after her family. She used the money from her previous loan to buy pigs and animal feed. She had no problems paying off the loan and made all her payments on the designated days. She will use her new loan to build a pig sty and to continue growing in this business. She likes the communal bank because the group has team spirit, because of the educational talks they get at each meeting and for the personalized attention they get from the credit advisor.
