Mary Ann's story
Mary Ann is involved in a direct sales business. She offers different cosmetic products and fashion clothing for men, women, and children. She has been engaged in this work for two years. She lives in the local community of Diduyun Maddela with her two children. Her husband is an Overseas Filipino Worker. Mary Ann is genuinely thankful because she has been able to improve the family's standard of living through the profits from her business as well as from remittance from her husband. The couple aims to secure a quality education for their two children. This motivates them both to work hard in order to achieve the dreams and goals they have for their children. Mary Ann would like to buy a new stock of cosmetic products and different kinds of fashion clothes for men, women, and children, which will allow her to earn a higher income. Due to the increasing costs of household expenses, the capital intended for her business is no longer enough for her to make these purchases. This is why she is asking for a loan of PhP 50,000. She is confident that she can expand her direct sales business and thus to be able to support her children's education and improve the family's standard of living.
