Virginia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy supplies and ingredients she needs to make ceviche.
Virginia is 45 years old and she is a very happy, hardworking, and enthusiastic woman. She has three children with her partner who are 29, 26, and 20 years old. Of these three, the two eldest are independent and live on their own, while the youngest still lives with her because he is in school and he depends on his parents to be able to realize his dream of becoming a professional. She works selling typical Peruvian dishes in a space she set up through a lot of effort and work. There, she offers different dishes, such as ceviche, or the delicious rocoto relleno. This work only allows her to have half of her time, while she spends the other half of her day taking care of various things that need to be done in her home. This is a family business that is over 20 years old, but she started managing it about 5 years ago. When she started, she had many fears and doubts, but with time and the support of her two employees, she was able to get over them and now her small restaurant is one of the most popular and frequented in the city. It is going very well for her and she is very happy, mostly because she was able buy the land her business is now on after many years of renting the space. Since she has worked here, she has been able to contribute to her household income and, thanks to that, her financial situation has improved greatly. She wants to keep growing her business in the future and be able to expand it until it becomes a tourist spot. This is her second loan with MFP and she is thankful for the opportunity they have given her and the confidence they have in her. That is why she promises to make her payments on time. She also enjoys being part of her communal bank because she sees that its members are responsible and supportive people. She will use the requested 1,800 nuevos soles to buy ingredients and supplies to keep doing her job and to increase the variety of dishes she offers her customers. She will also invest in the purchase of beers and sodas.
