Mwanajuma's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar.
Mwanajuma lives in Likoni, Mombasa. She works every day because her dream is to have a store that is well known in her town. In order to do this, she sells household consumables at her retail shop to her neighbors and passersby. With this, she has managed to save and invest in another business that has provided the opportunity to generate new income. The lack of working capital is Mwanajuma’s biggest challenge to her dreams. She has turned to Kiva credit for her second loan with Yehu Microfinance Trust. With her Kiva credit, she will buy household consumables, including wheat flour, maize flour, rice and sugar, which are in high demand in every household. Her loan should be successful because her sales are based on customer orders. What she buys has a fast turnover, which causes her working capital to turn quickly and therefore increase her profits. Choosing good customers would increase the recovery of her capital and thereby her earnings.
