Lagunitas Group's story

The Communal Bank "Lagunitas" is starting its third loan cycle as part of the Villa Tejada Community Center. This group consists of nine members and is led by Sra. Felisa as its president. The members have developed business activities that include managing a neighborhood store, selling food, roasting chickens, preparing snacks, selling soft drinks, and selling accessories.

Two years ago, Sra. Felisa joined a Communal Bank with Pro Mujer through her own initiative. She currently has a business of selling vegetables. Felisa learned the trade from her mother and has been working for several years. The loan she is receiving now will be used to increase her capital for buying vegetables, which will be purchased from wholesalers and then sold at her retail space. Working in this manner helps to move her family forward. Felisa is single and has two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Felisa said that she enjoys the health services.
