Banco Mujer Mujeres Triunfadoras Group's story

Viviana is the treasurer for the Banco Mujer Mujeres Triunfadores [Triumphant Women Women’s Bank], a new group with eight members that was formed in the community of Cataratas de Talamanca. Viviana is twenty-five years old. She is married and the mother of two children, a nine year old daughter and a two year old son. She raises chickens, and she will invest her loan by purchasing more chickens, along with the feed, supplements, and vitamins necessary to raise and fatten them. This way she will be able to increase her production and generate more income for her family. This is her first loan, and she hopes to be able to consolidate her micro-business along with those of her fellow group members. Viviana and her fellow group members know that financing is very important to achieve their goal. Viviana is a very hard-working woman who has set many goals for herself, but her priority is to help her husband repair their small house, which is currently in poor condition, and be able to provide her children with a better quality of life. The other members of the communal bank will invest in agricultural activities.
