Anonymous Group's story
The borrower, a client of MFI Hekima and leader of the business group known as «Upendo-Kahembe », is a young entrepreneur, the mother of two young children. She sells fish and drinks. Her husband is jobless. She displays her merchandise at a community market. For four years, she has been busy with these money-earning activities. Meanwhile, she has just completed seven cycles in Hekima's micro-credit program. This latest loan will allow her to buy three baskets of fish to sell and 10 crates of drinks (Fanta, Primus, Aigle). In future, she would like to see her children grow up in comfort and to be able to buy a plot of land. She salutes Hekima's initiative in favor of poor women who are excluded from conventional banking services.
