Lourdes's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy school supplies for her children.
Lourdes is divorces and has three daughters. Two of them are school age. They live in two rented rooms in the Tembladerani area of the city of La Paz. She currently gets income from working over eight hours a day as a cleaning employee of a public entity. She also washes clothes on the week-ends in order to have more income. She is the only one who supports her family’s expenses for food, education, and rent. The loan she is requesting is to be able to pay for her daughters’ education. With the small amount she makes she does not even have enough to buy supplies. Lourdes’s dream is to have her own home. She wants to be able to stop paying rent. The work she does is very difficult, especially when it is cold. This is the first time she has requested a loan from IMPRO and Kiva.
