Chea's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to renovate her store and purchase snacks, sweets, spices, canned goods and home-use products to sell in her store.
Chea is 31 years old and a loving mother of two school-age children. She and her husband raise their children in a peaceful village in the Prey Chor district of Cambodia. Aside from helping her husband manage his farming business, Chea devotes her time to selling drinks such as water, tea, juice, coffee, milk and syrup to the local people in her community. From this business, she is able to earn approximately $2 per day. Chea would like to improve her business but due to a shortage of capital, she is now asking for a loan from HKL and Kiva to renovate her store and purchase snacks, sweets, spices, canned goods and home-use products to sell in her store. Chea hopes to acquire the loan to further develop her business more successfully. In the future, she plans to save the extra income generated to pay for her children’s education.
