Santiago's story

Santiago, 39, is married and has three children; he lives in a village in San Juan Pueblo, Tela. Six years ago he decided to have a steady source of income to support his family and since then opened a grocery store to sell basic staple items like basic grains, lard, eggs, cleaning supplies, cured meats, soft-drinks, dairy products, meat, etc. Santiago has asked for his first, 20,000 lempira, loan to stock his store where he’s been able to increase income necessary to buy products like basic grains, dairy products and soft-drinks. All of his effort is to manage to obtain income that will allow him to give his children a good education and his family a better quality of life.
