Edwar Ruben's story
Edwar is a very hardworking man. He is the father an eight-year-old little boy for whom he works very hard and, more than anything, with a lot of drive to be able to give him a quality life and, most of all, a happy life. Their home is in the district of Parcona. This is an agrarian district that is also known for the generosity of its inhabitants. When he has free time, he likes to go for walks and he also likes to eat one of his favorite dishes, the delicious "arroz con pollo." Edwar works at his shoe repair business with a lot of enthusiasm. He spends about 10 hours per day there and he can see up to 15 customers daily. He believes his business is doing well because he is very responsible and polite to his customers, which is why they recommend him. Edwar is very thankful to Kiva's lenders, as it is thanks to their help that he will be able to buy leather, thread to sew shoes, glue, and soles, among other things. This will give him the tools he needs to do his work, which will allow him to keep fighting day after day to achieve his greatest dream: to have a shoemaking business.
