Joel's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy farm inputs needed in rice farming and to pay for labor.
Joel is thirty-five years old, married, and blessed with four children. His wife is a housekeeper and his partner in managing their rice farming business. He has been fifteen years in this business. He shared that he was only in his twenties when he learned how to do farming from his parents. Joel did not have the chance to go to college which is why he strives to give his children the opportunity of going to college and finishing their studies. Joel does this because he believes that education is the key to success. Joel wishes to extend his farm area to gain a higher yield and earnings. Due to insufficient funds, Joel has not been able to make his wish reality. However, he did not loose his hope of making his dream come true some day. He believes that there is always a right time to get what you dream of in the right way. Because of the high cost of farm inputs such as fertilizer, rice seeds, herbicides and insecticides, Joel decided to take a loan of PHP 50,000 to buy farm inputs needed in rice farming and to pay for the cost of labor.
