Anonymous Group's story

The client, a member of the Tupendane credit group, is a courageous 31-year-old businesswoman. Her husband is a soldier who left her more than eight years ago. She sells second-hand goods in a small informal market in the Muzenze military camp. She was introduced to the business by acquaintances in 2009, and later learned about the micro-credit offered by Hekima. Her business income goes toward savings, food, and her children's education. She has just taken out her eighth loan, and has seen her business prosper, so she decided to increase her loan amount for this new cycle. Her new loan will allow her to buy chairs, mattresses, and televisions to re-sell. She wants to see her four children grow up comfortably, and she would like to buy a piece of land in the future. She thanks Hekima for helping low-income women gain independence. In the photo, she is carrying her baby on her back.
