Baloon Group's story
Kassimu, who is in his early 30s, is married with three children who go to school. He has been running a business selling chips with eggs, fish and chicken since 2000. He works from 6.00 pm to midnight daily and is able to make a small monthly profit. This will be his 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania which he wants to use for adding to his stock of Irish potatoes, fish, eggs, and cooking oil. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house. He will share this loan with his loan group "Baloon" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
