Jenny Elizabeth's story

Jenny is from Guayas. She’s 28 years old, married and does not have children yet. She lives in Cooperativa 25 de Julio in Suburbio, Guayaquil. Her house is made of sugarcane stalks but it’s hers. She started the business of preparing meals thanks to her sister since she’s the customer for the breakfasts, lunches and dinners she prepares the employees in her sister’s shoe store. Her husband, Jofre, sells gas house to house and also helps her with her sales. She tells us that her schedule begins very early because she must go to the market to buy the products she’ll need to make the meals. The greatest difficulty she has is due to her house being so small and the space she has available is reduced. She will use the loan to buy an industrial stove, tables and chairs to increase sales and start to build her concrete block house.
