Emerita Dolores's story
Emerita, 31, has four children. She was born in Portoviejo but lives in Buena Fe-Quevedo. She’s a single mother and her children attend public school. Thirteen years ago she bought a house and started her business. She started out selling items made of felt through the initiative of a girlfriend who taught her how to make crafts. Emerita works alone and in her free time since she recently underwent kidney surgery which has her in a delicate state of health. She tells us that her children are her support and her motivation to continue forward every day. She wants to increase production and this is why she’s asking for a loan to buy foam, felt and fabric to make her crafts. She tells us that her dream is very ambitious because she’d like to become a distributor on a national level.
