Mahukpego 14 Group's story
The group "MAHUKPEGO 14" comprises three persons who are friends living in the same district. The group's representative, Ablawa Yvette, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 40 years old and lives in Benin. Ablawa Yvette did not attend school. She is married to a security guard named Isidore. They have three children, of whom only one is in their care. None of the children have had schooling. Ablawa Yvette lives together with her dependent child and her husband. She ensures, along with her husband, that the diverse household expenses are covered. To ensure these expenses are covered, she has been selling yams, hibiscus drinks, and ice water for five years in her district in Benin. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin. Seeking to satisfy her customers and increase her sales and her revenues, Ablawa Yvette is requesting, along with the other members of the group MAHUKPEGO 14, a third loan from ALIDé. The two loan received previously have indeed been repaid.
