Delia Fermina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy greater amounts of corn, meat, pork, chicken, and charcoal.
Delia Fermina's story
Delia is 75 years old and works producing fried foods, cakes, tamales, meat, and wheat flour products. She prepares and sells them herself from the balcony of her house, located in the municipality of Soledad. This is an area with an influx of people from students to drivers who are high consumers and who promote the daily success of her sales. Her goal is to continue expanding her business to achieve greater prosperity, and to remodel the rooms in her home so that they are more comfortable for her family. Her greatest challenge is the seasonal variation in her sales, because it makes her dependent on the same market and on the school schedules. Because of this, she plans to attain new markets, but the income from her work is insufficient to make investments and offer a wider variety of products. Currently, she is requesting a loan financed by Fundación Mario Santo Domingo (FMSD) that she will use to buy greater amounts of corn, meat, pork, chicken, and charcoal. This will reduce her expenses, as she will obtain more competitive prices for her purchases, which is the reason for the success of this loan.
