but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables.

Clavelitos Group's story

The communal bank “Clavelitos” will begin its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Centro Focal Juan Pablo. It is made up of 8 members and is led by a board of directors with Justina as the treasurer. The businesses that the members of the communal bank run are varied. Among them are selling potatoes, selling French fries, selling jewelry, selling sports clothing, and an eatery. Justina has been a member of the communal bank in Pro Mujer for 6 months, joining via an invitation of the members. Currently she has a business selling food, and she's been doing that for some years. She learned this from her sister. The loan that she’s received is to increase her working capital (buy vegetables). She will buy those in the markets of La Paz and later prepare them to sell in her shop. This business helps her support her family since she is married and has 3 kids. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the loans.
