Agbondjedo Group's story
AGBONDJEDO is a group made up of three people who are friends and belong to the same savings group. It is the fifth time that the group is requesting financial assistance from ALIDé, in order to raise its level of activity. Jeanne, the group's representative, is the woman raising her hand in the photo. She is 45 years old, lives in Benin, and has never attended school. She is married to a man named Kinvoédo. The couple has four children, all in school and all their dependents. Jeanne lives with her husband and children and takes care of the various household expenses with her husband. In order to provide for herself, Jeanne has been selling onions, peppers, and to a lesser extent, yams, at a market in Benin for the past fifteen years. She stocks up in a town in Benin. In order to meet her customers' needs and to increase her turnover and income, Jeanne is requesting a fifth loan from ALIDé, together with the other members of the AGBONDJEDO group. Previous loans have been well repaid.
