A loan helped to buy the ingredients needed to make dêguê.

Giséle Adjo's story

Gisèle is 37 years old and married to a teacher. She has one 9-year-old child who attends school. Gisèle has been working as a reseller since 2001. She sells gravy and dêguê (a type of millet porridge) to all sorts of customers in her shop. She gets her supplies in Lomé and works alone. Currently, her main problem is her insufficient inventory. Gisèle has requested her first loan from WAGES in order to buy the sugar, milk, couscous and pearl millet needed to make dêguê. She would like to reinvest in her business. In the coming years, Gisèle would like to increase the size of her business. She plans to use her profits to make sure that her family flourishes.
