A loan helped to buy feed, vitamins and vaccines for the hogs.

Catalina's story

Catalina resides at Libag Sur with her spouse and four children. She has sent all her children to school and now they have their own employment. She is happy that they helped her financially in times of need. Catalina doesn't want to rely on their remittances, so she patiently generates an income from her hog-raising business. She usually earns about PHP 2,500 for each hog she is able to dispose. This goes for meals and bills at home. Catalina would like to earn a better profit from the business so she is now asking for a loan of PHP 15,000 to buy feed, vitamins and vaccines for the hogs. She hopes to make her pigs grow healthier to offer them at a better price. If she achieves this, the income will be saved for future expenses of the family.
