Los Arbolitos Group's story

This group is called 'Los Arbolitos' and it has 12 members who are all hard-working and unassuming women from Pinotepa. The group's members consider themselves to be women with dreams and the strength to achieve what they set out to achieve, namely to improve their lives and their communities. One of this group's members is 58-year-old Rosa Elia. She has five children, three daughters and two sons, who are already married and have children of their own. Rosa Elia lives with her mom. Her business is selling bread and soft drinks. She has been in this business for 20 years. She tells us that she used to sell only bread and she only sold it retail. However, over time and with the support of Fundación Realidad, she bought more bread so that she could sell both wholesale and retail. She tells us that she goes out into the streets of her community to sell her bread in the mornings and afternoons while her mom and grandchildren stay at home selling bread. She tells us that she is very happy because, with the support of Fundación Realidad, she will be able to buy more bread to sell. She will also buy soft drinks in different flavors so that her neighbors buy drinks from her at meal time. Rosa Elia thanks Fundación Realidad for supporting her and making her dreams come true. The other members of this group are: Agustina, who sells Mexican snacks Teresa, who sells Mexican snacks Catalina, who sells bread Rosalía, who sells water in demijohns Julia, who sells Mexican snacks Beatriz, who sells Mexican snacks Vitalina, who sells Mexican snacks Lizbet, who sells clothing Flora, who sells bread Georgina, who sells jewelry Maria Claudia, who sells Mexican snacks. They are all grateful to Fundación Realidad for helping hard-working and unassuming women who have a desire to do well in life.
