Bertha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy grocery products such as rice, sugar, olives, oil, and pasta for her store.
Bertha, a 54-year-old divorced mother of five children between 28 and 35 years old, all living independently, has been running a small grocery store for about one year. Previously working as part of the cleaning staff in hostels, Bertha is now requesting a loan to purchase grocery merchandise such as rice, sugar, olives, oil and pasta. This is her first loan from Arariwa, and while she is appreciative of the loan, she says that she prefers to depend on her own resources and abilities in order to get ahead. She is commited to making her loan repayments on schedule.
Bertha is a member of the village bank Los Diamantes in Cusco, which is receiving its 16th loan.
