A loan helped to buy garments to sell.

15 De Mayo Group's story

The 15 de Mayo communal bank is made up of 11 women who are in their first loan cycle, working together and supportively in the program. In addition to the independent work of each one, they also have group activities. At the same time, they help each other mutually to realize their objective, which is to work to support their families. One story is that of Luisa, who works selling clothing. She tells us she has a well-defined clientele that always buys the clothes she sells. She tells us that with this business her family finances improved. She is requesting the loan to buy all types of garments, such as shirts, pants, and other types, with which she will be able to work and have more variety to offer her customers.
