Dora's story

This is 38-year-old Dora. She is married and has 3 children aged 18, 16 and 12yrs. She has 2 additional dependents. In 1994, Dora established her Palm Oil and Garri* business. She began her business because she is not educated and wanted to get a source of income to help her husband provide livelihood for their family. Working 7 days a week and 11 hours a day, she earns about Le 1,200,000 every month from this business. She would like a loan in the amount of Le 3,000,000. Dora requires a new loan in order to buy more palm oil and bags of garri to make more profit.
