Suliko's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to rent a tractor for land cultivation and purchase fertilizers.
Suliko is sixty years old. She lives in the small village of Lanchkhuti District, in West Georgia. Suliko is married and lives with her family: her husband – Mitusha, her twenty-nine-year-old son, her daughter in law, grand-son and father-in-law. The family earns a living through their agricultural business. They run a small dairy farm with two milk cows. Suliko produces cheese and sells on average 40 kg of this product in the village. Also the family owns 0.4 hectares of land, where maize and nut-trees are grown. Mitusha and Suliko sell harvested maize and nuts on the local open market. The total average monthly income of the family is 750 Laris, including the pension of Suliko’s father-in-law. Suliko requested credit to rent a tracter to till the land, as well as for fertilizers. After cultivating and fertilizing the land Suliko will sow maize and in late summer she will get more harvest than in previous years, which will be sold for convenient price. The income of the family will increase and they will be able to improve their living conditions.
